Be Smart About Gun Safety

Everytown for Gun Safety is a nationwide organization made up of volunteer advocates and gun owners, to promote the educational campaign on responsible gun storage through the BeSMART campaign. This program educates the community to promote safe gun storage and prevent tragedies that can result when a minor gains access to a gun and creates conversations around the importance of secured guns when dropping off your child at someone else's home. It educates those about the role that guns play in suicides. This program also gives suggestions to parents on how to talk to their children if they do find an unsecured gun, which was developed by a Ph.D. professor and expert on children's behavior around firearms.
