Montefiore/Nyack Hospital is a 391-bed community medical and surgical hospital that serves a diverse population of patients from a large geographical area in Rockland and Orange counties in NY as well as Bergen County, NJ. Montefiore/Nyack Hospital provides advanced healthcare in many disciplines such as surgery, cardiology, cancer care, trauma, stroke and obstetrics and gynecology.
Highland Surgical Associates, as part of Highland Medical, P.C., is the area’s largest group of highly skilled general surgeons. Montefiore/Nyack Hospital has surgeons providing care in the following areas: General surgery, neurosurgery, orthopedic surgery, vascular and thoracic surgery, breast, gynecologic, podiatric, neurologic, ENT and plastic surgery.
Candidates must have completed a Surgery Residency, be board eligible or certified by the American Board, and be license eligible in the state of New York. The candidate can be a recent graduate of an advanced surgical fellowship as well.

The FJ Borelli Family Emergency Center at Montefiore Nyack Hospital offers safe, high-quality emergency care. As a designated Level III Trauma Center, it has proven its ability to provide prompt assessment, resuscitation, surgery, intensive care and stabilization of injured patients. The Center offers a dedicated Pediatric Emergency Unit, an Express Care area for non-life-threatening emergency cases and X-ray rooms outfitted with a CT scanner to expedite patient care.
The hospital’s Cardiac Catheterization Lab is led by a team of cardiovascular experts who diagnose and treat heart conditions, such as coronary artery disease, heart valve disease and congestive heart failure, using minimally invasive procedures. Available treatments include pacemaker implantation, stent insertion, removal of blood clots in the lungs and the treatment of heart blockages. This program, a partnership with the Montefiore Health System and Montefiore Einstein, enables us to deliver academic medicine—and the very best care—right here in our community.
The Joint Replacement Center at Montefiore Nyack Hospital is a unique and highly specialized facility dedicated to the surgical replacement and repair of hip and knee joints, as well as postsurgical rehabilitation. The Center has received the Joint Commission’s Gold Seal of Approval for its hip and knee joint replacement programs. It was the first to achieve this distinction in the lower Hudson Valley.
The Jacobs Family Pride Wellness Center, dedicated in April 2022, provides holistic care to LGBTQ+ members of our community. It’s the first center of its kind in the Hudson Valley.
The Madlyn Borelli Multiple Sclerosis Center at Montefiore Nyack Hospital is dedicated to helping people with MS live their best lives. Affiliated with Montefiore Einstein, the Center offers a full array of services to address the often complex needs of people with MS.
Montefiore Nyack Hospital is a 391-bed community acute care medical and surgical hospital founded in 1895. In addition to being a member of the Montefiore Health System, the hospital partners with Touro College of Osteopathic Medicine to provide clinical rotations to third-year medical students.

Experience: General Surgery experience required. Board-certified or eligible. A candidate finishing their residency is welcome to apply.
Licensure: Licensed and currently registered physician in the State of New York.
Other: Qualified for membership on the Medical Staff. Must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Work effectively as a member of a culturally competent multidisciplinary team, have a thorough understanding of member rights, and knowledge of basic medical practice.
