Homemade Cranberry Sauce

INGREDIENTS:

  • 1 cup orange juice
  • 1 cup sugar (brown or white)
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 lb. cranberries (frozen or fresh), pitted
  • 1 tsp. orange zest

 

DIRECTIONS    

  1. Mix orange juice, sugar, salt and water into a 2 qt. bowl. Bring to boil. Once boiling, reduce heat to medium low.
  2. Add cranberries to mix and stir constantly until cranberries burst and mix thickens.
  3. Remove from heat and add orange zest. 
  4. Mix well and serve hot or at room temperature.
