Adriana Suarez-Ligon, MD, FACS, Medical Director of The Breast Center at Montefiore Nyack Hospital

Dr. Adriana Suarez-Ligon is a board-certified and fellowship-trained breast surgeon/oncologist who cares for patients with breast cancer, benign breast conditions, and those at increased risk for developing breast cancer. She provides thorough, individualized care and believes every patient deserves clear information, compassionate guidance, and a dedicated team supporting them at each step.

Dr. Suarez-Ligon earned her medical doctorate from New Jersey Medical School and completed her general surgery residency at Rutgers University. She completed her advanced Breast Surgical Oncology Fellowship at Emory University School of Medicine and is board-certified by the American Board of Surgery. She is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons (FACS) and an active member of the American Society of Breast Surgeons.

As a Latina breast surgeon and native Spanish speaker, Dr. Suarez-Ligon is committed to improving communication and access to care for diverse patients and families. She is passionate about ensuring that people who often feel overlooked or lost in the medical system feel seen, heard, and supported. She takes time to explain diagnoses and treatment options in a way that makes sense, and she works closely with medical and radiation oncology, plastic surgery, genetics, radiology, and survivorship teams to provide truly comprehensive care.

Dr. Suarez-Ligon was born in the Bronx to Cuban parents and raised in Bergen County, NJ. She lives in New Jersey with her husband and two children. She values family, community, and creating a comforting, supportive environment for her patients.
 

Eve Garner, MD, Director of Breast Imaging 

Eve Garner, MD, is a board-certified diagnostic radiologist specializing in breast imaging. She received her medical doctorate from SUNY Downstate College of Medicine in Brooklyn, NY. Dr. Garner completed her internship at Flushing Hospital Medical Center in Queens, NY, her radiology residency at Downstate Medical   Center in Brooklyn, NY, and her breast Imaging Fellowship at the Medical College of Virginia in Richmond, VA.

Dr. Garner is fluent in Spanish and enjoys spending time with her family, reading, and working out.

Adrienne Fueg, MD, FACS

Dr. Fueg is a board-certified surgeon who specializes in general, breast and advanced laparoscopic surgery. She has been practicing medicine for more than 20 years and currently practices with Highland Medical Surgical Associates in West Nyack, New York. Previously, she was an attending physician at Elk Regional Medical Center in St. Mary’s, Penn., and had a private practice in the Bronx, New York. Dr. Fueg earned her medical degree from SUNY Health Science Center at Brooklyn. She completed her general surgery residency at Lincoln Medical and Mental Health Center, New York Medical College, and Our Lady of Mercy Medical Center, New York Medical College. In addition, she completed a Critical Care Fellowship at Lincoln Medical & Mental Health Center. Dr. Fueg is a member of the Society of Women Surgeons and the American Society of Breast Surgeons as well as a fellow of the American College of Surgeons. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her nieces and nephew, hockey, travel, exercise and sewing.

Sophia Rodriguez, MS, CGC

Sophia Rodriguez is a board-certified genetic counselor specializing in hereditary cancer genetics at Montefiore Nyack Hospital. She earned her Master of Science in Human Genetics from Sarah Lawrence College in Bronxville, NY. Her clinical practice extends beyond oncology to patients with complex medical conditions, including those who may benefit from whole-exome sequencing (WES) to investigate an underlying genetic diagnosis. She works closely with physicians across specialties to determine appropriate testing strategies, interpret results, and coordinate referrals for further evaluation and care. 

Sophia takes a hands-on approach to genetic counseling, helping patients navigate testing, insurance challenges, and next steps. She believes complex genetic information deserves discussion, and guidance for her patients. 

Beyond patient care, Sophia contributes to the development of clinical workflows, provider education, and improvements in genetic testing and laboratory reporting.
