Mark Berezin MD, is a board certified orthopedic surgeon specializing in sports medicine and arthroscopy. He received his medical doctorate from New York Medical College and completed his residency at New York Medical College, Orthopedic Surgery, in Valhalla, NY. Dr. Berezin was fellowship trained at OrthoTexas in Sports Medicine and Arthoscopic Surgery.

Arup Bhadra MD, is dual board certified orthopedic surgeon specializing in joint replacement surgery, including robotic-assisted knee/hip replacement surgery. He received his master’s degree from Cardiff University mastering in Orthopedic Engineering and completed his residency at Homerton University Hospital and Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital, both in the United Kingdom. Dr. Bhadra was fellowship trained in Adult Reconstruction and Joint Replacement at University of Louisville and in Sports Medicine from Indiana University. Dr. Bhadra an Assistant Professor Orthopedic Surgery at New York Medical School, active in medical research and is published in peer reviewed journals. He is fluent in English, Hindi and Bengali.

L. Paul Brief, MD, is a board certified orthopedic surgeon. He received his medical doctorate from New York Medical College in Valhalla, NY and completed his residency at NYU Langone Hospital for Joint Diseases. He is Lieutenant Commander in the United States Marines Corps, Medical Corps of the U.S. Navy.

William L. Davis, Jr, MD, is a board certified orthopedic surgeon specializing in sports medicine and arthroscopic surgery of the knee, shoulder and ankle. He received his medical doctorate from the Stony Brook University School of Medicine in Stony Brook, NY and completed his residency in Orthopedic Surgery at University Hospital’s Case Medical Center in Cleveland, Ohio. Dr. Davis was fellowship trained at the University of Connecticut in Sports Medicine.

Ananth Eleswarapu, MD  is a board-certified Orthopedic Spine Surgeon whose clinical focus is on the operative and non-operative treatment of disorders of the spine, including scoliosis, infections, tumors, fractures and degenerative disease. Dr. Eleswarapu received his medical doctorate from the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine.  He completed his residency in orthopedic surgery at the University of Chicago Medical Center and a fellowship in orthopedic spine surgery at the University of California Davis Medical Center. An avid researcher, Dr. Eleswarapu is also an Assistant Professor at Montefiore-Einstein.

Jason Fond, MD, is a dual-board certified orthopedic surgeon and sports medicine specialist with a focus on joint reconstruction and replacement. He received his medical doctorate from Albert Einstein College of Medicine and completed his residency at Montefiore Medical Center, both in the Bronx, NY. Dr. Fond was fellowship trained at Virginia Sports Medicine Institute at Georgetown University. Dr. Fond is the Director of Orthopedic Surgery at Montefiore Nyack Hospital, an Associate Clinical Professor and team physician at Dominican College and the team physician at St. Joseph’s Regional High School.

Evan Gaines, MD, is a board certified orthopedic surgeon specializing in sports medicine and arthroscopic surgery. He received his medical doctorate from New York University School of Medicine and completed his residency at SUNY Downstate Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY, in Orthopedic Surgery. He was fellowship trained at the University of Buffalo in Sports Medicine. Doron Ilan, MD , is a board certified in orthopedic hand and upper extremites. Barry S. Kraushaar, MD, is a dual-board certified orthopedic surgeon and sports medicine specialist with a focus on joint preservation and replacement. He received his medical doctorate from Albert Einstein College of Medicine and completed his residency at Bronx-Lebanon Hospital, both in the Bronx, NY. Dr. Kraushaar was fellowship trained at Virginia Sports Medicine Institute at Georgetown University. Dr. Kraushaar is the Medical Director, Team Physician and Assistant Clinical Professor at Dominican College.

Neal H. Shuren, MD is dual board certified in orthopedic and hand surgery, specializing in the disorders of the wrist, elbow and shoulder. He has a special interest in treating traumatic injuries of the upper extremity and upper extremity reconstruction. He received his medical doctorate from Boston University School of Medicine and completed his residency at New York University School of Medicine in Orthopedic Surgery. He is fellowship trained at Loma Linda University Medical Center in California in Hand and Upper Extremity Surgery. His is Director of the Hand Surgery Program at Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center and Site Director for Medical Student Education at Good Samaritan Hospital/New York Medical College. Jordan Simon, MD, is dual board certified in orthopedic surgery and sports medicine by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery. He routinely performs complex surgeries of the Hip, Knee and Shoulder. Dr. Simon received his medical doctorate from NYU School of Medicine and completed his residency at NYU Langone Hospital for Joint Diseases, Orthopedic Surgery. Dr. Simon was fellowship trained at Lake Tahoe Orthopedics & Sports Medicine and NYU Langone Hospital for Joint Diseases. He is the Director of the Joint Replacement Center at Montefiore Nyack Hospital.

Andrew M. Somberg, MD, is board certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery, Dr. Somberg specializes in foot and ankle surgery. He received his medical doctorate from Albert Einstein College of Medicine and completed his residency at Montefiore Medical Center in Orthopedic Surgery, both in the Bronx, NY. Michael D. Robinson, MD is a physical medicine and rehabilitation specialist. He is triple board certified in physiatry, electrodiagnostic testing and pain medicine. He received his medical doctorate from the Tufts University School of Medicine in Boston. He completed his residency at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Bethesda, MD, in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation, where he was the former Assistant Chief of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Service. He is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Rehabilitation Medicine at Montefiore Einstein and Director of Pain Management and Palliative Care at Montefiore Nyack Hospital. 

Eric D. Fornari, MD, is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon with expertise in the management of complex pediatric and adolescent hip disorders as well as pediatric and adolescent sports medicine. He earned his medical degree from SUNY Downstate College of Medicine in Brooklyn, where he graduated magna cum laude and was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha honor medical society. He completed his internship and residency in orthopedic surgery at Tufts Medical Center in Boston, where he was recognized as the outstanding chief resident with the Henry H. Banks award. Dr. Fornari completed a fellowship in pediatric orthopedics and scoliosis at Rady Children’s Hospital in San Diego. Dr. Fornari’s focus on complex pediatric and adolescent hip disorders includes, but is not limited to, congenital, adolescent, and young adult hip dysplasia; Legg-Calve-Perthes disease; slipped capital femoral epiphysis; pediatric and adolescent sports medicine; pediatric orthopedic trauma; and neuromuscular disorders. Dr. Fornari is an Assistant Professor of Pediatric Orthopedic Surgery and Sports Medicine at our Albert Einstein College of Medicine.

Melinda S. Sharkey, MD, is an Attending Orthopedic Surgeon at Montefiore. She specializes in the operative and nonoperative treatment of general pediatric and adolescent musculoskeletal problems, including traumatic injuries, as well as congenital and developmental disorders. Her practice particularly focuses on the surgical treatment of bone deformities, foot deformities, limb length discrepancies, and metabolic bone diseases. Dr. Sharkey received her Bachelor of Arts in Biochemistry in 1999 at Wellesley College. In 2004, she received her Doctor of Medicine at the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine. Dr. Sharkey completed an internship in General Surgery and a residency in Orthopedic Surgery at the University of California San Francisco from 2004 to 2009. She then completed a fellowship in Pediatric Orthopedic Surgery at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia.

Christine Hinke, MD is a board certified physiatrist. She received her medical doctorate from New York Medical College in Valhalla, NY and completed her residency at NYU Medical Center Rusk Institute of Rehabilitation Medicine.
