The FJ Borelli Family Emergency Center at Montefiore Nyack Hospital is designated a Level III Trauma Center by both the American College of Surgeons and the state of New York. This means our Emergency Center has met rigorous standards of care for severely injured patients. Our specially trained trauma team works closely with first responders, treating over 800 trauma emergencies each year.
Our trauma team includes physicians, trauma surgeons and medical professionals who are ready around the clock to assess and treat seriously injured patients. We provide assessment, stabilization and treatment for:
- Injuries related to car accidents
- Traumatic brain injuries
- Sports injuries
- Construction injuries
- Gun or stab wounds
- Burns
- Falls
