Giacomo Vinces, DO,MBI, CWSP Medical Director of the Wound Care Center at Montefiore Nyack Hospital
Giacomo Vinces, DO, MBI, CWSP is a board-certified physician in General Surgery and a Certified Wound Specialist Physician (CWSP). He joins Highland Medical and Montefiore Nyack Hospital as the Medical Director of The Wound Care Center at Montefiore Nyack Hospital.
Dr. Vinces received his Doctor of Osteopathy degree from New York College of Osteopathic Medicine in Westbury, NY, and completed his Residency in General Surgery at Wyckoff Heights Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY. More recently, he received a Master’s of Biomedical Informatics from Oregon Health and Science University in Portland, OR.
Prior to joining Highland Medical, Dr. Vinces worked at the Wound Healing Service at Montefiore Medical Center in the Bronx, NY, where he helped coordinate the wound care evaluations of admitted patients to the three Montefiore Bronx Campuses. Before Montefiore, he was a wound physician consultant with Vohra Wound Physicians, working in upstate New York. Dr. Vinces is an active member of the Undersea and Hyperbaric Medical Society, the Wound Healing Society, the American Medical Informatics Association and the American Osteopathic Association. He brings a wide range of knowledge and expertise to The Wound Care Center at Montefiore Nyack Hospital.
Steven Adler, DPM, Podiatric Surgery
Steven Adler, D.P.M., is the Director of Podiatry Surgery at Montefiore Nyack Hospital. He received his medical degree from New York College of Podiatric Medicine in New York City. Dr. Adler has his own podiatry practice in Pearl River, N.Y. and has treated patients in Rockland County for more than 30 years.

Lawrence Simon, MD, FACS General Surgery
Dr. Simon is Board Certified in General Surgery by the American Board of Surgery and was previously the Director of Surgical Services and Medical Director of the Wound Care Center at Montefiore Nyack Hospital. He practices with Highland Surgical Associates in West Nyack, NY, and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He is also a member of the American Society of Breast Surgeons.
Dr. Simon has held leadership positions with several associations in the county including, President of the Rockland County Unit of the American Cancer Society, a member of the Executive Board of the Rockland County Medical Society, and a member of the Board of Directors of the Rockland County PSRO. Dr. Simon earned his medical doctorate from the State University of New York, Upstate Medical Center in Syracuse. He completed his Internship and Residency at St. Luke’s Hospital in New York. Dr. Simon proudly served as Major in the United States Air Force. In his spare time, he enjoys boating, spinning, and spending time with his grandchildren.
