The Montefiore Nyack Hospital Pastoral Care Department provides for the religious and spiritual needs of patients and families during their stay. We serve people of all faiths, as well as those without a formal faith community. Chaplains and local clergy are available on request for individual patient and family visits. A chaplain can provide counseling or arrange for a visit from a representative of your personal faith tradition. Daily Eucharist and Sabbath observances can also be arranged. A variety of other services are provided, including:
- Anointing and blessing
- Daily visits from the chaplain
- Provision of religious reading material
- Shabbos rooms
- Support in times of ethical decision-making
Chapel
The Anthony Romano Chapel, located on the first floor of the hospital, is available 24-hours a day. It offers a place of comfort and peace to people of all faiths and denominations.
