The Radiation Therapist is responsible for the administration of ionizing radiation for the purpose of treating diseases, primarily cancer. The Radiation Therapist is responsible for coordination of the operations of the radiation treatment team which include simulation and radiation therapy. The therapists correctly execute special procedural areas, ensuring radiotherapy prescriptions and plans. Radiation Therapists are the primary liaison between patients and other members of the Radiation Oncology team. They remain sensitive to the needs of the patient through good communication, patient assessment, patient monitoring and patient care skills.

Experience: One to three years clinical experience in Radiation Therapy preferred.
Training/Certification: ARRT registered or eligible for registration within the field of Radiation Therapy.
Current BLS certification.
Licensure: Current licensure as required by the State of New York.
Other: Technical problem solving. Provide excellent care for all patients regardless of age, race, sexual orientation, or religion. Ability to work flexible hours. Ability to travel for educational/training purposes. Excellent computer skills.
