Job Summary: Provides acute, sub-acute and chronic medical care to patients within the scope of the PA license. Provides medical care to patients, in collaboration with the physicians. Duties include but not limited to history and physical exams, ordering and interpreting diagnostic testing, venipuncture and injections, minor office procedures, patient counseling and education, and prescribing and adjusting medications and treatments. Duties include hospital rounding both pre-op and post op and discharge along with supporting the surgeons in the OR. There would be potential to collaborate for building our lung cancer screening program. No on call on weekends.
Experience: Experience working in Thoracic Surgery preferred.
Licensure: Licensed and currently registered as a PA in the State of New York.
Other: Experience in EPIC EMR preferred. Qualified for membership on the Medical Staff. Must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
