Monitor the data accuracy of patient demographics to meet the needs of coding, billing, SPARCS, NYS and CMS billing and reporting. The position functions to assure the integrity of the patient’s record. Maintains the potential duplicate work queues and merge duplicate medical records.  Serves as the Epic trainer for the HIS Department and provides scanning training to external departments when necessary.

QUALIFICATIONS
Associate’s Degree in HIM is preferred. Would consider a minimum of 5 years HIM or Registration experience and a HS Diploma. 2-3 years related experience with an MPI system. Revenue cycle experience a plus. Demonstrates strong working knowledge of medical record processes, revenue cycle process, as well as applicable rules and regulations, i.e. Joint Commission, New York State Rules and Regulations. Demonstrated use of an electronic medical record system is required. Must be able to work independently and prioritize multiple tasks.
