Upcoming EventsNyack, N.Y. July 20, 2022 – Monkeypox vaccinations are now available at The Jacobs Family Pride Wellness Center of Montefiore Nyack Hospital. Appointments begin on Friday, July 22, and can be made by calling 845-348-7284. The vaccine is a two-dose regimen, so recipients must be available to receive the second dose after 28 days apart or as soon as possible after that.
Eligibility
Based on CDC guidance and in working with local public health authorities, including the New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene (NYCDOHMH), Statewide eligibility currently includes the following New Yorkers:
- Individuals with recent exposure to a suspected or confirmed Monkeypox case within the past 14 days.
- Those at high risk of recent exposure to Monkeypox, including gay men and members of the bisexual, transgender, and gender non-conforming community and other communities of men who have sex with men and who have engaged in intimate or skin-to-skin contact with others in the past 14 days areas where Monkeypox is spreading.
- Individuals who have had skin-to-skin contact with someone in a social network experiencing Monkeypox activity, including men who have sex with men who meet partners through an online website, digital application ("app"), or social events, such as a bar or party.
